By accessing or using Assero, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to use Assero.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your details up to date.
- You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
Subscriptions and payments
Assero is offered on a subscription basis and may include a free trial. Billing is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. By starting a subscription, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method for recurring fees in line with your selected plan.
- Trials last 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period.
- Prices may change and we will notify you in advance of any change that affects your subscription.
Financial information
Assero provides tools to organise and analyse your finances, but does not provide regulated financial advice. Any insights or projections are for information only and should not be treated as advice.
Connecting bank accounts
If you connect a bank account, you authorise our open banking provider (such as TrueLayer) and your bank to share data with Assero. Your bank and open banking provider will have their own terms and privacy policies that apply to this data sharing.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use Assero for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data.
- Interfere with the security or performance of the service.
- Reverse engineer or copy our software, except where permitted by law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the data you provide to Assero. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service.
Service availability
We aim to keep Assero available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required by law. On termination we may delete or anonymise your data in line with our Privacy Policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you may have additional mandatory rights and protections under local law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide additional notice.
